The Truth about My Fathers

Gaby Naher

2002

Though she may have entered the world alone, Gaby Naher was destined to know the most genuine, heartfelt fathering a girl could hope for through her adoptive father, her beloved Daddo. Yet still she had never seen her features reflected in anothter person's face and so, in her 20s, she went in search of her biological father.

Children and young people in social care, and those who have left, are often subject to stigmatisation and discrimination. Being stigmatised and discriminated against can impact negatively on mental health and wellbeing not only during the care experience but often for many years after too. The project aims to contribute towards changing community attitudes towards care experienced people as a group.
