Richie Bray

Aboriginal Australian footballer Richie Bray (c. 1938 - 2017) was a member of the Stolen Generations, Richie Bray lived in a group home, St Francis House, at Semaphore in South Australia.

He went on to play Australian Rules Football for the Port Adelaide football club, in the state competition between 1959 and 1965.

Children and young people in social care, and those who have left, are often subject to stigmatisation and discrimination. Being stigmatised and discriminated against can impact negatively on mental health and wellbeing not only during the care experience but often for many years after too. The project aims to contribute towards changing community attitudes towards care experienced people as a group.
