‘The Small Miracle’ is set in Assisi in Italy, the home of the medieval saint St Francis. A small orphaned boy and his donkey who is sick sees his determination to get Violetta, a donkey who has fallen ill a blessing. Pepino fights the might of the Catholic Church to let his friend into the crypt where St Francis of Assissi is buried.
