Connie Walker is a Cree investigative journalist who grew up in the Okanese First Nation, Saskatchewan, Canadian.
One day, she heard a story about her father, a policeman. Back in the 1970s, he pulled over someone driving erratically, and found the driver was the priest who had sexually abused him as a child in the St Michael's Indian residential school.
Hearing the story prompted Connie to investigate her father's and other family members' time in St Michael's and the legacy of intergenerational trauma.
Stolen on Spotify is the result of Connie's investigations.
