Winning the Orwell Prize for Political Fiction in 2022, Small Things Like The tells something about the now infamous Magdalene Laundries.

The novella has been adapted into a film of the same name starring Cillian Murphy (who won an Oscar for Best Actor, Oppenheimer). Premiering in February 2024, the film was released in Ireland, the UK & the US in November 2024.
