Motherless Child: The Definitive Biography of Eric Clapton:

Paul Scott

2016

When he was 9, Eric Clapton found out that his parents were actually his grandparents and his sister was his mother. This early trauma affected Clapton's later relationships with women. This biography explores Clapton's childhood along with his rise to fame in the 1960's and his struggles with and against alcohol and drug addiction.

Children and young people in social care, and those who have left, are often subject to stigmatisation and discrimination. Being stigmatised and discriminated against can impact negatively on mental health and wellbeing not only during the care experience but often for many years after too. The project aims to contribute towards changing community attitudes towards care experienced people as a group.
