Dalgliesh (2021) is a British police procedural based on the Adam Dalgliesh novels by PD James. Bertie Carvel stars as Dalgliesh, an inscrutable detective who is also a successful poet.

In “A Certain Justice (Ep 9 & 10), a ne’er do well young man was in care as a child.

In “The Murder Room” (Ep 11 & 12), a victim of murder has grown up thinking he was adopted, whereas his ‘adoptive’ father is his biological father.
