A Gentleman in Moscow (TV series)

2024

When Count Alexander Rostov is tred by the Bolsheviks and sentenced to house arrest, his home is unusually a hotel. Over the next few decades he makes friends amongst the servants and some of the hotel's regulars. Then in 1938 he is left in temporary care of Sofi, a young child. For the rest of the story he has to take on the role of her parent.

Children and young people in social care, and those who have left, are often subject to stigmatisation and discrimination. Being stigmatised and discriminated against can impact negatively on mental health and wellbeing not only during the care experience but often for many years after too. The project aims to contribute towards changing community attitudes towards care experienced people as a group. See glossary HERE
