Dexter: Original Sin (2024) is a prequel to the Dexter (2006-2013) series.

The series has vigilante killer Dexter Morgan thinking back to 1991 with Patrick Gibson as Dexter and Christian Slater as his adoptive father and homicide detective at the Miami-Metro Police Department.

Dexter Morgan was a 20 year old graduate from the University of Miami in 1991 and begins work as a paid intern at the local police department. The series reaffirms what fans would already know, that it was his adoptive father who helps Dexter channel is “Dark Passenger”.
