Adoptee memorial park Omma Poom/엄마품동산, Paju.

Lisa Wool-Rim Sjöblom

2025

Lisa Wool-Rim Sjöblom/정울림 saw her name among others at Omma Poom/엄마품동산 memorial honouring adoptees & birth families, South Korea. A fake 'hojuk' was all they had—until now. However fragile, this memorial offers a trace, proof they once belonged to this land.

Children and young people in social care, and those who have left, are often subject to stigmatisation and discrimination. Being stigmatised and discriminated against can impact negatively on mental health and wellbeing not only during the care experience but often for many years after too. The project aims to contribute towards changing community attitudes towards care experienced people as a group. See glossary HERE
