Professor T (2021-2024) is a British crime drama which brings together a homicide team with a criminologist based at Cambridge University, Professor Jaspar Tempest (Ben Miller)
In the first series of only 6 episodes, 2 (33%) have adoptees as central to the story. In Episode 4, an adopted child is abducted by her biological mother. In Episode 6, an adopted son assists his adoptive father in staging an abduction and attempted murder.

The subsequent 2 series move away from this adoption theme, with only Series 3, Episode 2 having a Care Experienced Character. In this episode, the murder victim was orphaned at the age of 17.

In Series 4, Episode 5 “The Perfect Murder” there is a young woman who was in multiple foster homes as a child. She is a suspect in a crime but it is a senior police officer who is charged with murder.
